PROJECT AIMS

The overall aim of this study is to reduce inequalities in accessing high-quality support services for carers of people with dementia (PWD) from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) groups. We will achieve this by scaling up an evidence-based “Culturally-tailored iSupport model of care” (CT-iSupport), a multicomponent intervention which includes a facilitator-enabled psychoeducation, peer support and coaching for carers in their preferred language and culture. The psychoeducation in the CT-iSupport is the World Health Organization (WHO) endorsed iSupport program

Phase 1

Co-design Practical Strategies with stakeholders to scale up the CT-iSupport (aim 1).

Phase 2

Evaluate a training program for CT-iSupport providers (aim 2)

Phase 3

Evaluate the implementation strategies to scale up CT-iSupport (aim 3); evaluate the effectiveness of the CT-iSupport intervention (aim 4); and determine the costs and benefits of the CT-iSupport (aim 5).
